Job summary

Leoforce, a defense litigation firm with offices in Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Denver, is seeking a Mid-Level Defense Attorney. This role offers remote work with ownership of a diverse Utah docket and direct work with carriers, self-insured employers, and private businesses.

You will handle hearings, depositions, and settlements, draft pleadings and briefs, advise on coverage and risk, and pursue early resolution where appropriate.

• Also open to anyone from a district court background

• Manage a diverse caseload of Utah defense matters from intake through hearing, trial, or settlement in state and federal courts and administrative forums
• Represent insurance carriers, self-insured employers, private businesses, and third-party administrators
• Appear at hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences on behalf of carriers, employers, and their insureds
• Draft pleadings, position statements, discovery, motions, and briefs in court and administrative settings
• Advise clients on coverage, claim handling, and risk, with the goal of early resolution where it makes sense
