Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Draft and review briefs, motions, pleadings, and other substantive litigation documents
• Manage all aspects of written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare, file, and oppose motions
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
• Manage assigned matters and litigation deadlines from discovery through resolution
• Collaborate with attorneys and litigation team members on complex class action matters

Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a class action law firm in seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team on a long-term, fully remote engagement. Candidates must be licensed in California.

Role Details

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 6+ months
• Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Location: Fully remote
• Compensation: $90–$95/hour

Responsibilities

• Draft and review briefs, motions, pleadings, and other substantive litigation documents
• Manage all aspects of written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare, file, and oppose motions
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy

Candidate Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience, with class action experience strongly preferred
• Experience handling substantive litigation matters, including:
  • Brief writing and motion practice
  • Written discovery
  • Depositions
  • Legal research and case strategy
  • Filing and opposing motions
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Active California bar license, in good standing, is required
• Class action experience is strongly preferred
