Job summary

BD&J in Los Angeles is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to handle high-value personal injury cases from filing through trial. You will work with experienced trial attorneys and support teams in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Required: JD from an accredited law school and active California Bar license, plus 1+ year of litigation experience. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Compensation includes a competitive pay plan, bonuses, 401K, vacation, holidays, and full benefits.

• Strong oral and written advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of litigated personal injury matters from filing to resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Attend and argue at court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Work closely with clients, experts, and medical providers to build strong case strategies.
• Oversee and direct paralegals and legal assistants assigned to litigation cases.
• Maintain strong communication with clients to keep them informed and supported.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and pre-trial preparations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on high-exposure and complex matters.
• Maintain case files and documentation in compliance with legal and firm standards

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Client-centered approach with strong interpersonal communication
