Job summary

Brand & Tapply, LLC seeks a full-time, New Hampshire–barred attorney to join our growing insurance defense practice. This is a remote position handling insurance fraud investigation and litigation for clients throughout New Hampshire.

The ideal candidate has strong research and writing skills, sound judgment, and a demonstrated interest in litigation. They will work with our attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and courts to manage litigation matters and conduct comprehensive insurance

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active New Hampshire State Bar admission in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience; insurance fraud defense preferred.
• Strong research, writing, analytical and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned matters from initial case assessment through resolution.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Conduct discovery and drafting responses, motions and memoranda.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and EUOs where applicable.
• Develop case strategies based on legal and factual analysis.
• Assist with factual investigation, document review and file organization.
• Make court appearances in New Hampshire as required.
• Work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with attorneys and staff.
• Maintain compliance with court rules, deadlines, and client reporting.

Job description

We are seeking a full-time, New Hampshire barred attorney to join our growing insurance defense practice firm. This is a remote position handling insurance fraud investigation and litigation of fraud for insurance clients throughout New Hampshire.The successful candidate will have strong legal research and writing skills, sound judgment, excellent communication abilities and a demonstrated interest in litigation. They will collaborate closely with our attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and the courts to manage litigation matters and conduct comprehensive insurance investigations across the country.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned matters from initial case assessment and investigation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, pleadings, motions, memoranda and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, conferences, mediations, and, where applicable conduct Examinations Under Oath (EUOs).
• Analyze legal and factual issues and develop effective case strategies.
• Assist with case preparation, including factual investigation, document review, and organization of case files.
• Make court appearances throughout New Hampshire, when required.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff in a remote environment.
• Maintain compliance with applicable court rules, professional obligations, deadlines, and client reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active New Hampshire State Bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience; insurance fraud defense litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and deadlines in a remote environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a fully remote work environment.
• Strong professional judgment, organizational and communication skills.
