Job summary

Brand & Tapply LLC, a national insurance defense firm, seeks a full-time New Hampshire barred attorney for remote handling of insurance fraud investigations and litigation across NH. Responsibilities include case management, discovery, depositions, and court appearances as needed.

The ideal candidate has a NH Bar in good standing, 2+ years of litigation experience (insurance fraud defense preferred), and strong research, writing, and advocacy skills suitable for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active New Hampshire State Bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience; insurance fraud defense experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and deadlines in a remote environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a fully remote work environment.
• Strong professional judgment, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned matters from initial case assessment and investigation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, pleadings, motions, memoranda and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, conferences, mediations, and, where applicable conduct EUOs.
• Analyze legal and factual issues and develop effective case strategies.
• Assist with case preparation, including factual investigation, document review, and organization of case files.
• Make court appearances throughout New Hampshire, when required.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff in a remote environment.
• Maintain compliance with applicable court rules, professional obligations, deadlines, and client reporting requirements.
