Taylor Root seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney in Texas to join its defense and tort litigation practice. The role is onsite in Houston with a remote option for attorneys based in Dallas. You will manage an active caseload, draft motions, take depositions, and represent clients in state and federal court.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas Bar license and have 3+ years of litigation experience, with preference for insurance defense or tort litigation and independent file management abilities.

Formación

• Active Texas Bar license is required.
• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Insurance defense and/or tort litigation experience preferred.
• Experience independently managing litigation files.
• Strong deposition and motion practice skills.
• State and federal court trial experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage insurance defense and tort litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle an active caseload with a high level of autonomy.
• Draft and argue motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Evaluate, interview, and depose expert witnesses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs and litigation filings.
• Represent clients in state and federal court.
• Prepare cases for trial and handle trial-related responsibilities.
