Jobot is seeking a Litigation Attorney in Chicago for a hybrid remote role. The attorney will defend general liability insurance defense matters and manage full litigation life cycles, reporting to senior partners.

The position requires an active Illinois Bar admission and offers a competitive base salary with bonuses. The firm emphasizes service, results, and client satisfaction, with a pathway to rapid business development in a midsize, full‑service setting.

Qualificações

• Active Illinois bar admission is required.
• Recent insurance defense experience with a general liability focus is preferred.
• Experience defending general liability matters in a law firm setting is desired.

Responsabilidades

• Defend a varied caseload of general liability insurance defense matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations and trial preparation.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure and provide strategic guidance to carriers and clients on case strategy and settlements.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to deliver efficient, budget-conscious defense strategies.

Job Details

• Defend a varied caseload of general liability insurance defense matters
• Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution — pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure and provide strategic guidance to insurance carriers and insured clients on case strategy, settlement, and resolution
• Work closely with partners and clients to deliver efficient, cost-effective defense strategies consistent with carrier guidelines and litigation budgets
