Job summary

gpac is assisting a growing multi-state defense litigation firm in Dallas, TX to hire a Senior Litigation Attorney with 7+ years of defense experience, insurance defense preferred. The role offers hybrid work: home Monday-Wednesday and in-office Thursday-Friday, substantial case autonomy, and opportunities for courtroom experience.

You will manage cases from inception to resolution, handle depositions and motions, report to clients, and collaborate with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Active Texas bar license and good standing.
• 7+ years of defense litigation experience, insurance defense preferred.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and mediation.
• Ability to independently manage cases and deliver substantive client reporting.
• Excellent legal writing, communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Trial-minded attorney who thrives in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution with autonomy over day-to-day case handling.
• Draft and respond to written discovery, take and defend depositions, and handle motion practice.
• Attend hearings and mediations, prepare cases for trial, and pursue courtroom opportunities.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and potential exposure to develop strategic case assessments.
• Provide clients with timely, thorough reporting, legal analysis, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases forward efficiently.
