Ascendion partners with an established legal services organization seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its Texas team, handling banking, mortgage servicing, and financial services disputes. The role emphasizes strong litigation foundations, sound judgment, and compliance-driven representation.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Texas bar license in good standing.
• At least 3 years of active litigation experience.
• Experience in banking/mortgage servicing litigation or related area.
• Strong written and verbal communication and case-management abilities.
• Proficiency with legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis).

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of banking, mortgage servicing, and related litigation matters.
• Provide legal oversight and strategic direction for litigation matters.
• Handle specialized matters including judicial foreclosure, probate, and title-curative issues.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory developments and adjust processes accordingly.
• Provide litigation guidance to operational staff.
• Review proposed procedural changes for legal soundness.
• Conduct legal research and prepare analyses using Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Support departmental goals and operational needs.
