Jobot is seeking a Litigation Attorney in Washington, DC for a hybrid, permanent role with a salary range of $260,000–$365,000 per year. The attorney will handle complex patent and IP litigation, draft filings, and coordinate with courts, ITC, PTAB, and the Federal Circuit, while gaining hands-on responsibility.

You will work with elite trial and appellate attorneys in a collaborative environment emphasizing professional development, mentorship, and client engagement.

Qualifications

• JD and active U.S. bar admission required.
• Strong foundation in patent law and IP litigation.
• Excellent academic credentials and writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Support complex patent and IP litigation from inception through appeal.
• Assist with proceedings before district courts, ITC, PTAB, and Federal Circuit.
• Draft briefs, motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and memoranda.
• Conduct legal research on patent law and emerging technologies.
• Participate in fact development, discovery management, and deposition prep.
• Collaborate with partners, experts, clients, and teams.
• Support trial preparation and appellate advocacy.
• Engage with clients and contribute to litigation strategy.
• Develop substantive litigation experience with meaningful responsibility.

Job Details

• Support complex patent and intellectual property litigation matters from case inception through appeal.
• Assist with proceedings before federal district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), PTAB, and the Federal Circuit.
• Draft legal briefs, motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and case strategy memoranda.
• Conduct legal research involving patent law, IP disputes, and emerging technologies.
• Participate in fact development, discovery management, and deposition preparation.
• Analyze complex legal and technical issues involving innovative products and technologies.
• Collaborate closely with partners, experts, clients, and litigation teams.
• Support trial preparation and appellate advocacy efforts.
• Engage directly with clients and contribute to litigation strategy discussions.
• Develop substantive litigation experience through meaningful responsibility on active matters.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Eligible for admission to the D.C. Bar through waiver or examination.
• 3+ years of patent and/or intellectual property litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Strong foundation in patent law and intellectual property litigation.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment.
