Nossaman LLP is seeking a litigation associate with 3-7 years of experience to join our Insurance Recovery & Counseling practice in our Washington, DC office. We are seeking candidates with either experience or interest in focusing on recovery/coverage matters representing policyholders. We offer a collegial environment as well as excellent advancement opportunities for associates, including a transparent and achievable path to partnership.

Qualified candidates will have substantial experience drafting pleadings, briefs, and motions in state and federal court, and discovery experience including depositions and drafting/arguing discovery motions. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects efficiently, work well as part of a team, and be willing to take ownership over significant projects. Admission to the DC Bar or eligibility to apply for DC Bar admission is required.

The salary range for the position of 3-7 Year Associate at Nossaman is $200,000 to $260,000 annually. The successful candidate’s salary for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range; however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate’s qualifications and experience.Associates are also eligible for various annual bonuses including a bonus of 15% of base compensation should they meet Nossaman's 1,850 annual billable hours expectation.

Annual Billable Hours Expectation: 1,850 (which includes up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work)
