Job summary

Matura Farrington, Inc. is seeking a Remote Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation) with 3–6 years of civil litigation experience to join our expanding Southern California team. The position is 100% remote with a strong mentoring culture and trial-heavy practice.

Qualified candidates will hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the State Bar of California. Travel nationwide a few days per month and during trial cycles is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong civil litigation experience (3–6 years).
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Take and defend depositions; argue motions.
• Licensed to practice in California; ABA-accredited JD.

Job Title: Remote Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation)

About the Firm

We are an elite, rapidly growing national litigation defense firm seeking a skilled Associate Attorney with 3 to 6 years of civil litigation experience to join our expanding Southern California team. While our regional office is based in Irvine, CA, this position is 100% remote.

Our firm represents high-profile manufacturers, healthcare providers, and corporations in high-stakes complex litigation, including class actions, product liability, medical device defense, and commercial disputes. We run a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating, and trial-heavy practice. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload in complex civil litigation, product liability, and commercial defense.
• Draft complex pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Take and defend depositions of key witnesses, experts, and plaintiffs.
• Prepare for and argue high-stakes motions in both state and federal courts.
• Collaborate closely with partners and trial teams on trial strategy and preparation.
• Travel a few days per month for routine case matters, and travel nationwide as part of active trial teams.
• Experience: 3–6 years of dedicated civil litigation experience (defense experience preferred but not required).
• Skills: Proven track record of drafting pleadings, handling discovery, taking/defending depositions, and arguing motions.
• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-approved law school with strong academic credentials.
• Licensure: Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Travel: Willingness to travel nationally a few days per month and during trial cycles.
