Job summary

Towson Law Firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 3–10 years of substantive litigation experience. The candidate should have a strong background in general commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance defense, and/or real estate.

The role offers a collaborative culture and opportunities to work on meaningful disputes from investigation through appeal, including depositions and trial preparation. Maryland Bar eligibility is required or DC/VA admission a plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Maryland Bar membership (DC or VA admission a plus).
• 3–10 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Experience representing contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, or sureties is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in construction, insurance defense, real estate, and/or commercial disputes from initial investigation through trial and appeal.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct and defend depositions, manage written discovery, and handle court appearances.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients and participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with senior attorneys and partners.

My client, a well respected Townson based law firm, is looking for a Litigation Attorney

The ideal candidate will have 3–10 years of substantive litigation experience, with a strong background in general commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance defense, and/or real estate. Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $120k-175k base. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
