Job summary

San Miguel Attorneys P.C. in The Woodlands, Texas, seeks a Litigation Attorney who will serve business owners and individuals across a range of matters.

You will collaborate with Owners, senior partners, associates, and paralegals to deliver excellent client service and fast court experience. The position emphasizes research, writing, and technology-enabled work, with a target of 1,680 billable hours per year and bonuses after 90 days if you exceed 1,680 hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to use Microsoft Office is required.
• Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision.
• Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
• Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks
• Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
• Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
• Finalize and customize documents through technology as efficiently as possible.
• Have 7+ years' experience in Commercial Litigation, Corporate work, Real Estate Litigation, and Business Disputes.
• Have Jury Trial Experience, second chair is acceptable.
• You should be a self-starter, a quick learner, and have a solid ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Creative problem-solving, flexibility, and an ability to prioritize are important.
• Have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Have solid computer and time management skills.
• Demonstrate a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity in the handling of personal client information, including following the Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic with high standards for quality of work.

We need an attorney who is willing to serve business owners and individuals with different matters. We are growing, and we need talent that can work hard to represent clients well. The prime candidate will work seamlessly with the Owners, senior partners, associates, and paralegals in an effort to effectively serve clients. If you have excellent research and writing skills, can easily use today's technology, and want to obtain court experience faster, we would love to have you!

Minimum billables: 1,680 hrs per year.

Bonuses after 90 days, every pay cycle, if you qualify based on the additional hours you log over 1,680.

Compensation

$160,000 - $200,000 yearly
