The Magnolia Law Group PLLC in The Woodlands, Texas seeks a Commercial Litigation Attorney to manage a full-time caseload of business disputes in a hybrid work environment with some work-from-home flexibility.

You will draft pleadings, conduct legal research, represent clients in court, oversee depositions, coordinate discovery, and work with firm leadership on strategy, negotiations, and efficient client service.

Formación

• Strong foundation in commercial and business law, including contract disputes and related litigation.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy, with solid research and writing skills.
• Experience before state courts (and federal preferred), including hearings, conferences, and appearances.
• Trial experience from pretrial preparation to post-trial motions.
• Depositions, discovery management, and effective witness examination.
• Active Texas license to practice law in good standing.
• 8+ years of commercial litigation experience with case management responsibility.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication, with attention to deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment with a small team.
• Strong professional judgment and ethical standards, focused on clear, practical guidance to business clients.

Role Description The Commercial Litigation Attorney will handle a full-time caseload of business disputes and related commercial matters in a hybrid work environment based in The Woodlands, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing cases from intake through resolution, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, and preparing case strategies. The role involves representing clients in court proceedings, hearings, and trials, as well as conducting and defending depositions, coordinating discovery, and communicating regularly with clients about case status and options. The attorney will collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy, support settlement negotiations, and help maintain efficient, client-centered processes aligned with the firm’s focus on clarity and cost-effective representation.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in commercial and business Law, including contract disputes, business torts, and related litigation.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing Motions, including dispositive and procedural motions, with solid legal research and writing skills.
• Experience practicing before Courts at the state level (and federal, preferred), including hearings, conferences, and other court appearances.
• Background in handling Trials, from pretrial preparation through courtroom advocacy and post-trial motions.
• Skill in conducting and defending Depositions, managing discovery, and effectively examining witnesses.
• Active license to practice law in Texas, in good standing.
• 8+ years of commercial litigation experience preferred, with demonstrated case management responsibility.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and collaborate with a small team focused on efficiency and client service.
• Strong professional judgment, ethical standards, and commitment to providing clear, practical guidance to business clients.
