Job summary

Aldridge Pite, LLP is seeking a California-licensed Litigation Attorney to handle litigated matters with emphasis on defensive litigation involving residential real estate, title to real property, mortgages and foreclosure. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills are required.

Qualifications

• Jurist Doctorate from an accredited law school and active CA Bar in good standing.
• Ability to consistently bill 1920 hours per year.
• Experience in foreclosure, real estate or mortgage servicing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation stemming from mortgage servicing/foreclosure matters.
• Manage pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
• Prepare analysis of cases and advise client regarding strategies.
• Draft court pleadings and motions.
• Discovery, including depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances.
• All other duties as assigned.

Purpose

Aldridge Pite, LLP is currently looking for a California licensed Litigation Attorney to be responsible for handling litigated matters for the firm, with emphasis on defensive litigation involving residential real estate, title to real property, mortgages and foreclosure. Candidates must have excellent written and oral advocacy skill and experience with all aspects of civil litigation.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation stemming from mortgage servicing and/or foreclosure matters.
• Manage pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
• Prepare analysis of cases and advise client regarding strategies.
• Draft court pleadings and motions.
• Discovery, including taking & defending depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conference and make court appearances.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing and full compliance with all licensing and continuing legal education requirements.
• Ability to consistently bill 1920 hours per year.
• Knowledge of foreclosure process and requirements preferred, but not required.
• Some experience in real estate or mortgage servicing preferred, but not required.
