Job summary

gpac is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team in a dynamic practice handling transportation, aviation, construction, HOA, professional liability, and general liability matters.

The attorney will own cases from evaluation through resolution, with opportunities for direct client interaction and professional growth. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting a broad civil litigation portfolio.

Qualifications

• Civil litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Deposition experience preferred.
• Ability to independently manage cases and deadlines.
• Excellent client-service and communication skills.
• Strong interest in developing courtroom and trial experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, factual investigations, and case evaluations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Manage written discovery and expert-related matters.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Develop case strategy and negotiate settlements.
• Communicate directly with clients, insurers, claims professionals, and opposing counsel.
• Appear in state and federal courts as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, experts, and other litigation professionals.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with civil litigation experience who is interested in handling a diverse caseload involving transportation, aviation, construction, HOA/community association, professional liability, and general liability matters.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of cases and work directly with clients from initial evaluation through resolution.
