Job summary

The State Bar of Texas in Houston seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to handle personal injury plaintiff cases from filing to resolution or trial. The role requires independent docket management, strong writing and advocacy, and a client-centered approach.

You will evaluate liability and damages, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and coordinate with experts. Minimum four years of civil litigation experience and an active Texas license are required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Texas law license in good standing.
• Minimum four years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Texas civil procedure and evidence.
• Experience with hearings, depositions, discovery, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
• Excellent legal writing, advocacy, organization, and client communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a substantial litigation docket.

About the Role

We are a growing, trial-focused Texas personal injury law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to manage plaintiff personal injury cases from suit through settlement or trial. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, strategic, client-centered, and comfortable handling a litigation docket independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigation files from filing through resolution or trial.
• Evaluate liability, causation, damages, and case value.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with plaintiff personal injury, trucking, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, jury trial, mediation, medical record review, case management software, or Spanish-language experience.
