Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, seasoned attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience who is ready to step into a high-impact role within an established and respected team. This position is ideal for a confident legal professional with a strong background in first-party property insurance law and a passion for both advocacy and relationship-building.

In this role, you will take ownership of cases from inception through resolution while also contributing to the continued growth of the practice through strategic business development. You’ll collaborate closely with a team of experienced attorneys, leveraging the strength, reputation, and resources of a nationally recognized law firm.

If you’re driven, collaborative, and looking for an opportunity to make an immediate impact while continuing to grow your practice within a supportive and high-performing environment, we’d love to connect.

What You’ll Do:
  • Be the voice of policyholders, representing them in first-party property insurance matters such as coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims.
  • Conduct meticulous review of insurance policies, claim documentation, correspondence, and related materials to assess coverage, identify potential issues, and build a strong case for clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop innovative strategies and stay abreast of evolving first-party property insurance laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of first-party property insurance cases, drafting legal documents, pleadings, and motions, and ensuring all necessary documentation is organized and maintained.
  • Employ your strong negotiation abilities to engage with insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in insurance disputes, seeking advantageous settlements for our clients.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Your persuasive advocacy skills will be pivotal in presenting compelling arguments.
  • Provide clear and concise legal advice to policyholders, empowering them with the knowledge and understanding of their rights, obligations, and available options under their insurance policies.
  • Collaborate with a talented team of experts, fellow attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment to ensure seamless case management and optimal outcomes.
  • Execute strategies to market to potential clients and build business in the Cincinnati area with the support of our Business Development and Marketing teams.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing with the applicable state bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, with demonstrated expertise in first-party property insurance law highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and trial skills, with the ability to manage cases independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
What we offer:
  • Competitive Salary + Bonus Structure
  • Vacation & Sick Time
  • Flexible Spending Accounts for Health & Dependent Care
  • Short- and Long-Term Disability
  • Pet Discount Program & Insurance
  • Bar Dues & CLE Credits Paid by Firm
  • Generous 401(k) matching
  • Hybrid Work Schedule
