A reputable law firm located in Fort Collins, CO, is seeking a results-driven Litigation Associate with hands-on experience in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings, particularly in personal injury matters. The role is designed for a mid-level litigator who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident managing a case docket independently from filing through verdict, with dedicated paralegal support. This position is being recruited by a legal talent acquisition firm on behalf of the law practice.
Duties:
Manage a litigation caseload of approximately 30 personal injury matters
Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
Conduct and defend depositions
Prepare and respond to written discovery requests
Develop and execute trial strategies in collaboration with team members
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
Supervise and coordinate activities with the assigned paralegal
Maintain effective client communication and deliver high-quality legal service
Requirements:
Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado
4-9 years of civil litigation experience
Demonstrated trial and courtroom experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure
Prior experience in plaintiff-side personal injury cases is advantageous
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Must be in good standing with the Colorado State Bar
Skills:
Excellent legal writing and research capabilities
Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills
