Express Recruiting Group is partnering with a respected, tech-forward law firm in Carlsbad, CA to hire an experienced Litigation Attorney. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of civil litigation experience, strong motion practice and deposition skills, and the judgment to manage matters with independence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse litigation caseload from initial case evaluation through resolution.
• Handle commercial real estate and lease disputes, easement and boundary matters, development and construction conflicts, land use and permitting disputes, HOA matters, and general business litigation.
• Draft and argue pleadings, motions and other litigation documents.
• Prepare, serve and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Develop case strategy and prepare matters for mediation, settlement negotiations and trial.
• Collaborate with litigation and transactional colleagues on complex, cross-practice matters.
• Keep clients informed through clear communication and responsive case management.

Compensation: $175K to $225K + Bonuses + Benefits

The firm uses modern technology and AI tools to work more efficiently, so its attorneys spend less time on administrative work and more time on strategy and advocacy. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of litigation experience, strong motion practice and deposition skills, and the judgment to run matters with appropriate independence. This is a good fit for an attorney who wants meaningful case ownership, a reasonable billable-hour target and real support for long-term growth, without being required to bring a book of business.
