Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a litigation attorney in Belleville, IL. The role offers a base salary of $100,000.00–$125,000.00 per year with merit-based bonus opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Primary on-site work with some hybrid flexibility is available, and Illinois bar admission plus 4+ years of substantive litigation experience are required. You will manage complex matters across commercial, construction, employment, personal injury, product liability, and workers' compensation,

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois bar license required.
  • 4+ years of substantive litigation experience required.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Missouri bar admission is preferred or willingness to obtain it when appropriate.
  • In-house and solo-practice backgrounds may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and contribute to complex litigation matters from case assessment through resolution.
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  • Manage complex discovery, including developing strategies, reviewing materials, and coordinating discovery activities.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, motion practice, and other court proceedings.
  • Handle a broad range of matters involving commercial litigation, construction litigation, employment law, personal injury, product liability, and workers' compensation.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and support professionals to move cases forward efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders.
  • Take increasing ownership of case management and client relationships as your experience grows.

Location:

Belleville, Illinois — primarily on-site, with some hybrid flexibility available based on the needs and approval of the assigning attorneys.

Note:

Must have an active Illinois bar license and 4+ years of substantive litigation experience. Missouri bar admission is a plus, and candidates licensed only in Illinois should be willing to obtain Missouri admission if needed.
