Pemberton Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking a driven Litigation Attorney to advance cases from discovery to trial across Baraboo, Eau Claire, Madison, or Sun Prairie. You can work on-site or hybrid, with strong support and meaningful, client-focused litigation.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin State Bar membership in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience preferred; personal injury or plaintiff litigation is a plus.
• Strong legal writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality and client care.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation cases from litigation through settlement, trial, or other resolution.
• Develop case strategy by evaluating liability, damages, case value, and strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery; take/defend depositions; attend mediations, hearings, court appearances.
• Prepare witnesses and exhibits; work with experts; participate in trial proceedings as appropriate.
• Advocate for clients; communicate with clients; negotiate with insurers and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, attorneys, and experts to move cases forward efficiently.

What You Will Do

• Manage litigation cases: Handle personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases from litigation through settlement, trial, or other resolution.
• Develop case strategy: Evaluate liability, damages, case value, and litigation strategy tailored to each client.
• Handle litigation: Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents; take and defend depositions and attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Prepare for trial: Prepare witnesses and exhibits, work with experts, and participate in trial proceedings as appropriate.
• Advocate for clients: Communicate regularly with clients, guide them through the litigation process, and negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
• Work with the team: Work closely with legal assistants, paralegals, attorneys, and experts to move cases forward efficiently.

What You Bring To The Table

• Active Wisconsin State Bar membership in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience preferred; personal injury or plaintiff litigation experience is a plus.
