What You’ll Do
- Manage personal injury cases throughout the litigation process.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
- Assist attorneys with case strategy, legal research, and litigation preparation.
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records, bills, insurance information, discovery, and other case materials.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and help them navigate the litigation process.
- Coordinate with opposing counsel, medical providers, expert witnesses, lien holders, and insurance carriers.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation events and deadlines.
- Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, documents, witness materials, and other case materials.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized case files in the firm’s case management system.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience required.
- Personal injury litigation experience is preferred, but not required.
- Experience managing a high-volume litigation caseload.
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, deadlines, and case management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong legal writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple cases effectively.
- Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach.
- Experience with Filevine or another legal case management system is a plus, but not required.
- Must reside in Wisconsin.
Compensation & Benefits
- $55,000 - $80,000 annual salary, based on experience. Compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and demonstrated litigation knowledge.
