Witherite Law Group in Georgia is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team. You will handle a full personal injury litigation caseload from filing to trial, working with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes courtroom advocacy, supervising a team, and potential for a hybrid schedule after 6 months, with a strong bonus structure and benefits including health insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current member and in good standing of the Illinois Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Personal Injury litigation experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Trial experience preferred.
  • Commercial case experience a plus.
  • Experiencing litigating trucking and other commercial motor vehicle cases a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and manage Personal Injury files from file through trial.

Physical Requirements
  • Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
  • Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
  • Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
  • Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
  • Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
  • Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
