Qualifications
- At least one year of workers' compensation experience.
- Licensed to practice in Rhode Island state and federal courts.
- Massachusetts state and federal court admission preferred.
- Handles general liability and insurance defense for nationwide clients.
Responsibilities
- Draft, pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda.
- Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
- Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.
- Prepare and take depositions of parties and witnesses.
- Review client documents, draft case evaluations and status report correspondence.
- Assist with and participate in trial preparation, mediations, arbitrations and court appearances.
- Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues and staff.
