Job summary

Tyson & Mendes LLP in Scottsdale seeks an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of solid litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense. An active Arizona Bar license is required. Remote work opportunities are available, with a smaller-team feel and the backing of a national firm.

You will develop experience in discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, and case strategy while learning from seasoned litigators and leaders within the firm.

Qualifications

• Requires Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Arizona bar license is required.
• 3+ years of solid litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial; strong timekeeping discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling case strategies and manage court appearances, depositions, motions, and trials.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across experience levels.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and opposing counsel.
• Nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team growth.
• Ensure timely, accurate discovery and strategy execution.
