Job summary

Unknown Boutique Law Firm in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Litigation Associate to handle business and real estate litigation in a full‑time, hybrid role with some work-from-home flexibility.

You will draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, conduct legal research, prepare memoranda and case strategy documents, manage depositions, and coordinate with courts and arbitration forums for hearings and trial-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in law with experience in business and/or real estate litigation
• Proficiency in drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents
• Advanced research skills, including case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources
• Hands-on experience with depositions and transcript review
• Familiarity with state and federal courts, arbitration, and administrative hearings
• JD from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership or eligibility to be admitted promptly
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills with attention to detail and clear legal analysis
• Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team
• Professional judgment, client-service mindset, and strong organizational and time-management skills
• Previous law firm litigation experience and interest in real estate or business law preferred

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Support case development from investigation through resolution, including settlements and trial preparation
