Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking an Associate Attorney for its San Francisco Bay Area office. This litigation-focused role offers early courtroom exposure on sophisticated whistleblower and consumer protection class actions for individuals and consumers against powerful defendants.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of post-bar experience, strong writing and research skills, and a track record in depositions, discovery, and ESI.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–7 years of post-bar litigation experience preferred.
• Strong writing, analytical and legal research skills.
• Experience with depositions, court appearances, complex discovery and ESI.
• Demonstrated desire to build a career as a litigator.
• Strong academic credentials and a stable employment history.
• Collaborative, intellectually curious and capable in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage substantive portions of complex litigation from early case development through resolution.
• Draft complaints, motions and other significant pleadings.
• Handle written discovery and complex document/ESI matters.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Work with experts and participate in trial preparation.
• Appear in court and develop meaningful first- and second-chair litigation experience.
