Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 4+ years of substantive California employment litigation experience (Associate level).
• 9+ years of relevant California employment litigation experience for Of Counsel candidates.
• Experience defending employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage/hour and related workplace claims.
• Experience representing employers in court, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
• Class Action and/or PAGA experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation from inception through resolution.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters and agency proceedings.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Represent employers before state and federal administrative agencies.
• Advise and counsel employers on employment law compliance and workplace issues.
• Conduct management training on employment and labor law topics.
• Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, employment torts, contract claims, non-compete issues, and class or representative actions.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice areas to provide strategic, business-oriented legal counsel.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record

• Attorneys seeking Of Counsel consideration should possess 9+ years of relevant California employment litigation experience and demonstrated first-chair litigation capabilities
• Experience defending employers in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and related workplace claims
• Experience representing employers in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agency matters
• Class Action and/or PAGA experience preferred, but not required

• Competitive Salary: $120,000 – $216,000+, commensurate with experience, level, and geographic location.
