Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking an Associate Attorney / Of Counsel in Employment Litigation for a fully remote role. Excellent candidates will have California bar admission, substantial employment litigation experience, and the ability to take matters from inception to resolution with minimal supervision.

The position offers high responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and collaboration with accomplished labor and employment attorneys, across industries, in a flexible remote setting.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academics.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 4+ years of substantive California employment litigation experience.
• Of Counsel candidates should have 9+ years of relevant California employment litigation experience and first-chair capabilities.
• Experience defending employers in employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment and wage disputes.
• Experience representing employers in court, arbitrations, mediations and agency matters.
• Class Action and/or PAGA experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws and procedures.
• Ability to manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters and agency proceedings.
• Handle all aspects of litigation including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations and trial prep.
• Represent employers before state and federal administrative agencies.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace issues.
• Conduct management training on employment and labor law topics.
• Handle discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage/hour disputes, and related claims.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices to provide strategic legal counsel.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced employment litigator to work remotely while handling sophisticated employment matters for employers across a broad range of industries. Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
• 4+ years of substantive California employment litigation experience (Associate level consideration)
• Attorneys seeking Of Counsel consideration should possess 9+ years of relevant California employment litigation experience and demonstrated first-chair litigation capabilities
• Experience defending employers in employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and related workplace claims
• Experience representing employers in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agency matters

• Conduct management training on employment and labor law topics
• Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, employment torts, contract claims, non-compete issues, and class or representative actions
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice areas to provide strategic, business-oriented legal counsel to clients

• Competitive Salary: $120,000 – $216,000+, commensurate with experience, level, and geographic location.
