You will manage cases from inception to resolution, draft pleadings and motions, and coordinate with insureds and carriers while balancing independent work with teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience handling insurance defense, tort, personal injury or related litigation matters.
• Active Ohio law license in good standing.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and discovery.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong analytical and case-evaluation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Case Management & Litigation: manage assigned insurance defense and tort matters from inception through resolution.
• Discovery & Depositions: draft and respond to discovery; conduct depositions; analyze evidence.
• Motion Practice: draft motions and briefs; prepare for dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Client & Insurance Communication: keep clients and carriers updated on status, strategy and exposure.
• Trial & Litigation Strategy: prepare cases for trial; participate in mediations and hearings.
