Clyde & Co US LLP is seeking an associate to join our Los Angeles office. The role covers a wide range of liability and insurance challenges including coverage, bad faith, catastrophic injury, UIM defense, premises liability, trucking/transportation, and employment disputes.

Qualifikationen

• Licensed to practice in Washington state.
• Civil litigation experience is required.
• Strong research, writing and oral communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Aufgaben

• Take depositions, attend hearings and mediations as required.
• Draft and submit pleadings, motions and briefs.
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Draft discovery requests and responses.
• Review and analyze documents for production.
• Investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies.
• Report to insurance carrier clients and insureds.
• Prepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in trial/mediation.
