The ideal candidate holds California Bar admission and has at least two years of sophisticated litigation experience, with exposure to insurance coverage and other complex matters early in their career. Qualifications

• California Bar admission required.
• Minimum two years of litigation experience at a law firm.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Insurance coverage or defense experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, coverage analyses, litigation reports, and client correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on insurance coverage and commercial litigation issues.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, and mediations.
• Assist with case strategy and overall litigation management.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and reporting.
• Manage assigned matters proactively and efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues across a broad range of litigation matters.
