Job summary

Hire Counsel in Los Angeles is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney with 1–3 years of post‑admission experience to manage a varied caseload in insurance coverage, defense, and related commercial litigation. You will work directly with senior partners to help build the firm's West Coast practice in a hybrid Los Angeles office.

The position offers significant client exposure, collaboration with senior lawyers, and flexibility under the firm’s Flex Forward program.

Qualifications

• Admission to the California Bar in good standing.
• 1–3 years of post-admission litigation experience at a U.S. law firm.
• Strong pre-litigation and litigation foundation including drafting, research, discovery, motions, and depositions.
• Ability to analyze complex facts and apply law to business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support partners on insurance and commercial litigation matters across coverage and defense.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and litigation reports.
• Conduct depositions and attend court proceedings.
• Assist with motion practice and case strategy.
