Permanent Placements LLC has an exciting opportunity in Seattle for a mid-level to senior Complex Litigation Associate (JD 2022–2024). The role offers substantial responsibility, direct client exposure, and collaboration with experienced litigators on sophisticated disputes across industries.

The candidate will manage motions, discovery, depositions, and case strategy, working alongside a leading Am Law firm and supporting clients through all phases of litigation with guidance and opportunities

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Class years 2022–2024 preferred.
• Licensed to practice in Washington State, or eligible for WA bar admission.
• Experience handling complex litigation matters in a law firm environment.
• Strong motion practice, brief writing, discovery management, and depositions.
• Solid legal research and analysis skills; drafting substantive memoranda.

Responsabilités

Complex Litigation Associate (Mid-Level to Senior)

Position Overview

Our client, a leading Am Law firm, is seeking a mid-level to senior Litigation Associate (JD 2022-2024) to join its Complex Litigation Practice Group in Seattle, Washington. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-stakes litigation matters spanning a variety of industries and business sectors.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing substantive litigation responsibilities, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, legal research, and case strategy development. The firm offers significant responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to collaborate on complex disputes alongside experienced litigators.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day litigation activities in complex commercial and civil matters.
• Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other substantive court filings.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct legal research and analyze substantive and procedural legal issues.
• Prepare legal memoranda and case assessments.
• Collaborate with litigation teams on case strategy, trial preparation, and dispute resolution.
• Support clients through all phases of litigation from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Class years 2022 through 2024 preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in Washington State, or currently eligible to obtain Washington bar admission.
• Experience handling complex litigation matters in a law firm environment.
• Demonstrated experience with:

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and case management abilities.
• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies is preferred but not required.

Compensation

The salary range for this position in Seattle is $235,000 to $310,000, commensurate with experience.

In addition, candidates may be eligible for an hours-based bonus program. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other relevant factors.
