Confidential Employer in California seeks a senior litigation attorney to lead sophisticated commercial disputes with substantial autonomy, from initial strategy through resolution and trial when needed.

This role requires an active California Bar license, 10+ years of substantive litigation and meaningful trial experience, plus a portable book of business of at least $250,000. Fresno or Los Angeles locations are available; not fully remote with strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 10+ years of substantive litigation experience.
• Meaningful trial experience required.
• Portable book of business of $250,000+ required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases from beginning to end with minimal oversight.
• Strong deposition, motion practice, discovery, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial, business, real estate, employment, probate/trust, construction, or financial litigation experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex litigation matters from initial case evaluation through final resolution.
• Develop case strategy and advise clients on risk, settlement opportunities, and litigation options.
• Handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, pretrial preparation, and trial.
• First-chair or play a significant role in trials, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
• Manage commercial, business, real estate, employment, probate and trust, construction, financial, or other sophisticated disputes based on experience.
• Communicate directly with clients and serve as a trusted strategic advisor.
• Oversee matters with minimal supervision while collaborating with partners, associates, and support staff.
• Maintain and expand existing client relationships and generate new business.
• Travel for hearings, arbitrations, trials, and client matters when necessary.
