Job summary

The Law Office of Michael J Adams PC seeks an Associate Attorney to litigate debt collection matters in Texas. The role involves risk analysis, strategy development, and handling pre-suit through post-judgment matters.

Qualified candidates will hold a J.D. and be admitted to the Texas Bar. Experience in litigation and knowledge of FDCPA/FCRA/TCPA are pluses; this is an in-person position with Court appearances statewide.

Qualifications

• JD required.
• Texas Bar admission required.
• Experience in debt collection litigation preferred.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in pre-suit and post-judgment matters.
• Review filings and discovery to determine appropriate actions.
• Prepare responses to discovery and dispositive motions.
• Manage all aspects of hearings and trials as counsel.
• Attend Texas court settings via virtual appearances and in-person when needed.
• Provide analysis on legal and regulatory risks.
• Draft, review, and edit reports, opinions, and correspondence.
