Job summary

PRA Group is seeking an attorney to represent the Company in litigation involving consumer accounts and affiliates. The role involves preparing and filing legal documents, discovery materials, and advising Company attorneys to support litigation efforts.

Requirements include a Juris Doctor and active Texas bar membership, with 2+ years of related experience and strong research, writing, and analytical skills; familiarity with major consumer credit laws; and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree required.
• Active member of the bar in Texas.
• 2+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Prior litigation experience preparing and drafting pleadings, participating in all phases of the discovery process and handling of trials required.
• Familiarity with federal and state consumer finance laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Litigates on behalf of the Company in state courts where licensed to practice using case management software.
• Represents the Company in courts, collects facts and evidence, tries cases and handles related tasks.
• Prepares legal documents, develops strategies and argues with defendant, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attends scheduling conferences, mediations, settlements, depositions, hearings and trials.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies across responsibilities.
