Job summary

Kagan Stern Marinello & Beard, LLC provides high-quality civil litigation services. This full-time, onsite role in our Annapolis office involves counseling, pre-litigation, and litigation work, including motions, research, discovery, court appearances, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

Excellent research, legal writing, and oral advocacy skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Maryland Bar; admission in DC or VA is a plus.
• 1–5 years of substantive litigation experience.
• Familiarity with state and federal court systems and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Counseling, pre-litigation, and litigation-related work.
• Drafting and filing motions and conducting legal research.
• Manage written and document discovery.
• Prepare for and attend court proceedings, including depositions.
• Participate in arbitrations and trials.
