Job summary

McAngus Goudelock & Courie LLC in Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking attorneys to join our Litigation team. Remote/hybrid options will be considered after training/integration with the team.

Ideal candidates will have 1–5 years of practice experience. Our associates gain hands-on experience in all phases of civil litigation from inception to trial, with direct client contact. Must be licensed in South Carolina or have pending SC bar results.

Qualifications

• JD required with SC licensure or pending SC bar results.
• 1–5 years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants
