Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Litigation Associate in Bethesda, MD with 5–7 years of experience to handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters, including disputes over real property, fiduciary and shareholder issues, and estates and trusts matters.

You will manage cases through all phases in state and federal courts, with immediate responsibility, bargaining on settlements, and close client interaction from day one.

Qualifications

• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
• Experience handling substantive litigation matters
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Active bar admission in MD, VA, or DC (multiple admissions a plus)

Responsibilities

• Drafting and arguing motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
• Managing an active litigation docket with substantial autonomy
• Participating in depositions, mediations, and court appearances
• Communicating directly with clients and contributing to litigation strategy
• Assisting with and participating in trial work commensurate with experience
