Jobot is partnering with a well established full-service law firm in Maryland seeking an associate with a strong civil litigation background. The firm serves businesses, insurers and individuals across the Mid Atlantic, with emphasis on insurance defense, general liability, property and casualty, and coverage matters.

The ideal candidate has 2–7 years of civil litigation experience, handles pleadings, depositions, and motions, and works directly with claims professionals.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active license to practice law.
• 2–7 years of civil litigation experience, ideally including insurance defense, general liability, property and casualty, or coverage work.
• Experience independently managing a litigation caseload, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, and communicating with claims professionals.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Comfort working directly with insurance carrier clients and adapting to claims-driven reporting.
• Collaborative mindset with interest in long-term growth within a firm.
• Prior exposure to subrogation, bad faith litigation, products liability, construction defect, or maritime/transportation claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings and dispositive motions.
