Job summary

Epsten, APC is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in San Diego, California. This full-time position entails handling complex civil litigation cases from pre-litigation through trial and appeal. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, at least 5 years of California litigation experience, and a strong courtroom presence. You will work in a hybrid environment, contributing to a supportive firm culture with reasonable billable hour requirements, and have opportunities for professional growth.

Epsten, APC, is seeking an experienced California-licensed Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team and handle complex matters from pre-litigation strategy through trial and appeal. This is an opportunity for a motivated and collaborative attorney with strong advocacy skills and a genuine commitment to exceptional client service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Appear in court, arbitration, and other tribunals on behalf of clients
• Develop and execute litigation strategy across a diverse caseload
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and complex legal documents
• Conduct depositions, client meetings, and expert interviews
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate across the firm
• Manage multiple active matters and meet strict court deadlines

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Minimum 5 years California litigation experience
• Active California State Bar license in good standing
• Strong courtroom presence and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent legal research and writing ability
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet strict deadlines
• Harmonious collaborator with a stable employment history
• Proficiency in Lexis/Nexis, iManage, Microsoft 365, Law Toolbox and Centerbase
