Coastal Wave Recruiting's client, a boutique law firm in Los Angeles, seeks a Civil Litigation Associate with 2–6 years post-JD experience to handle a fast-paced, trial-oriented docket.

The role offers ownership of complex matters, direct interaction with partners and clients, and opportunities for courtroom exposure in a collaborative firm culture.

Competenze

• 2–6 years of civil litigation experience at a law firm, government, or reputable boutique.
• Strong foundation in discovery and motion practice.
• JD class years 2019–2023.
• California bar admission or willingness to sit for the California bar.
• Trial or courtroom experience is a strong plus.
• Experience in white-collar defense or bankruptcy litigation is a plus.

Our client, a boutique law firm, is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join its team. They are looking for an associate with 2?6 years of post-JD experience in civil litigation who is comfortable in a fast-paced, trial-oriented environment and eager to take ownership of complex matters.

What you'll do:

• Manage a diverse caseload, including commercial litigation, white-collar matters, and bankruptcy disputes
• Own cases from pleadings through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients on litigation strategy
• Draft motions, briefs, and key legal documents
• Lead discovery efforts, including taking and defending depositions
• Participate in court proceedings, with opportunities to argue motions and examine witnesses
