Required is a Juris Doctor degree and admission to PA and/or NJ bars; experience with Westlaw/LexisNexis and strong written and oral advocacy is highly valued. Excellent organization and collaborative work style are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review documents, evidence, and witness statements.

Job description

An ideal candidate would have some experience in property/casualty insurance or subrogation matters. Attorney would be working on-site in the firm's Philadelphia Office. Must be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey (If licensed in only Pennsylvania or New Jersey, must be willing to apply for admission in the other jurisdiction).

Trial skills, knowledge of litigation procedure, attention to detail, motivation and ability to assist and support busy litigation team are essential. An ideal candidate would have experience in handling pretrial discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. A strong academic background as well as good written and oral advocacy skills are preferred.

Other Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis using various resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Assist with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files
• Prepare for and participate in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies
• Review and analyze documents, evidence, and witness statements
• Negotiate settlements or participate in alternative dispute resolution processes

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, such as drafting correspondence and managing calendars
• Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis

• Prior experience in litigation is required.
