Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean, typo-free written work and adapt voice between objective memos and persuasive advocacy for the court.
• Draft an Answer and Jury Demand; handle motions; navigate negligence, premises liability, and insurance bad faith; communicate with opposing counsel.
• Attend Case Management Conferences solo; draft early case evaluations with sharp valuation analysis; take depositions.
• Run your own files; take a plaintiff's deposition; prepare a crisp summary report within 24 hours; independently retain experts; manage discovery disputes.

About this position

Sutton | Booker | P.C. seeks a sharp, driven, and intellectually curious litigation attorney to join our top-notch firm. This is not a role where you will be hidden away in a back room doing endless document review. You will be given direct responsibility, client contact, and case ownership and experience early on.

We are looking for someone who takes immense pride in the craft of lawyering, loves digging into complex legal puzzles, and understands that true litigation success comes from grit, deep preparation, and a strong work ethic. What Success Looks Like (Your First 90 Days)

• Day 1: You can confidently deliver clean, typo-free written work and immediately adapt your voice between objective evaluation memos and persuasive advocacy for the court.

Day 30: You have a strong grasp of Colorado civil procedure. You can independently draft an Answer and Jury Demand, handle motions practice, and fluently navigate core concepts like negligence, premises liability, and insurance bad faith. You are already communicating seamlessly with opposing counsel without needing hand holding.

Day 60: You are stepping out in front-attending Case Management Conferences solo, drafting early case evaluations with sharp valuation analysis, and transitioning into taking depositions.

Day 90: You are confidently running your own files. You can take a plaintiff's deposition and turn around a crisp summary report within 24 hours. You are independently retaining experts, handling written discovery defense, and aggressively managing discovery disputes (including C.R.C.P. 121 meets-and-confers and court hearings).

Technical Qualifications

Salary Information

$95,000 - $130,000Hourly Wage
