Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady LLP seeks an associate attorney with 1–3 years of defense litigation experience to join its Rocky Hill, CT office. This role offers a junior attorney the chance to develop litigation skills in a collaborative, forward-thinking firm environment.

The candidate will assist with all phases of defense litigation, draft pleadings and memos, perform legal research, and manage deadlines while maintaining meticulous time records in a client-focused practice.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm.
• Admission to practice in Connecticut.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and work ethic.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
• Federal court or appellate experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with all phases of defense litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda
• Conducting legal research and preparing comprehensive reports and legal analysis
• Participating in court conferences, depositions, and hearings as appropriate
• Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with client guidelines
• Maintaining accurate time records and billing entries
