An associate filling our open position should have an interest in handling product liability cases, but will also have opportunities to work in BSP Law’s other trial litigation practice areas. Many of our attorneys have returned to working mostly in-office, but BSP Law has embraced a forward-looking hybrid in-person/remote environment. Depending on qualifications and role—and after initial onboarding,we will consider remote-first candidates.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication (both written and oral) skills;

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-6 years’ experience in civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and arguing motions;
  • Deep thinker; efficient researcher; persuasive writer and speaker; and
  • Michigan or Texas Bar License (or ability to waive in).

Job duties include:

  • Identification and analysis of complex legal issues;
  • Drafting and responding to discovery requests (which requires gathering, organizing, and indexing large volumes of paper and electronic materials);
  • Drafting and responding to motions;
  • Taking depositions and assisting with preparation of witnesses for depositions;
  • Frequent communication with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients;
  • Frequent analysis of technical issues;
