Jobot is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3+ years of civil litigation experience to join our Tampa office. The ideal candidate will handle complex matters, manage client relationships, and take on increasing responsibility as part of a collaborative, mentorship‑driven firm.

You will work on depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation, developing broad litigation skills while gaining hands‑on courtroom experience within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in complex litigation, general, commercial, or business litigation strongly preferred.
• Experience in casualty, premises, product liability, construction litigation, or other sophisticated civil matters valued.
• Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions, handling hearings and mediations, and assisting with trial preparation.
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and take ownership of substantive litigation responsibilities.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, sound judgement, and a strong work ethic.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal teams.
• Active Florida Bar license and good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters throughout the full civil litigation lifecycle, from initial case assessment through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and develop persuasive legal arguments.
• Assist with trial strategy, preparation, and execution.
• Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategy.
• Manage increasing portions of matters independently while maintaining high‑quality client service.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and participate in the continued development of the firm's litigation practice.
